YAY! Someone else that likes a sad song every now and then!

Our elementary school music teacher used to have us sing "The Minstrel Boy"...LOL...and half of the kids would be crying or sniffling!
Jennifershenya on November 16th, 2005 05:10 pm (UTC)
I have a fondness for sad songs (and poems). I remember hearing "The Minstrel Boy" on Star Trek and doing the "Hey cool. I know that song" :). Doth and I have run a brief story (verbally alas) about an elf who we based off the song *grin*
Mark: elf Sylvanboywondermark on November 16th, 2005 05:16 pm (UTC)
Very cool! I love the song and love elves! Did you post it?!
Jennifershenya on November 16th, 2005 05:20 pm (UTC)
No. It's one that we just ran through verbally, for the fun of it. Sorry.
Mark: elf Sylvanboywondermark on November 16th, 2005 10:18 pm (UTC)
Well...it's a wonderful idea, Shenya! :)

*raises an eyebrow*
You trying to dop a hint? *grin*
Mark: comic Brainiac 5boywondermark on November 17th, 2005 05:19 pm (UTC)
LOL! Consider it dropped! ;)

*blows a raspberry*

This month I'm trying to survive Nano...

Then I should probably finish the 100fanfic challenge (I'm doing Imladris)...
Oh and doing an update for Charlie and Sam and pestering Doth to finish tidying up the current one...

Maybe sometime after that :P
Mark: gay RoboBitchboywondermark on November 17th, 2005 05:50 pm (UTC)
LOL! *sticks out my tongue*
Jennifershenya on November 17th, 2005 05:54 pm (UTC)
*giggles*

To be honest I'm not sure where I'd start to write down that one. It came from us playing with AUs on our usual pair of elves... it included things like mpreg (which we used to swear we'd never do *sigh*)
Mark: elf Sylvanboywondermark on November 17th, 2005 07:01 pm (UTC)
LOL! I'm sure you guys have a ton of ideas ready to go!

Russian transcriber? Is the story leading to how that happened very interesting? I would think that it is. . .
Mark: mischief jrmboywondermark on November 16th, 2005 02:43 pm (UTC)
LOL! That's the one thing that I can't say too much about! The story behind it isn't all that dazzling anyhoo! It was many moons ago! *wink*

(BTW...glad that you and Frank are cuddle bunnies again! *wink*)

Ok, someday you and I are going to sit down over e-drinks and you will explain Good Will Hunting to me. Everyone I know (and lots of people I don't) talk about how amazing that film is and I... just don't get it. I found it hard to dig the plot out of it, let alone think it amazing. I am, however, very open to being converted because I'm not usually that clueless when it comes to movies.

^_^
Mark: guy Mattboywondermark on November 16th, 2005 05:13 pm (UTC)
No problem, sweetie! I LOVE Matt Damon and LOVE that movie! You are not alone, however...my friend, Carole, doesn't like GWH or The Talented Mr Ripley! LOL!
As for the e-drinks...I'm buying! :)

Ok, I doed it, Marky.

I like "I'm So Lonesome", too, but I grew up hearing the BJ Thomas version. I hum it a lot.

I would love to go the places you've been on vacation!
Mark: comic Spaceman Spiffboywondermark on November 17th, 2005 03:48 am (UTC)
You should do it, Paul...You just have to go!
turtleinashell on November 17th, 2005 03:58 am (UTC)
Oh, so now you're trying to get rid of me, huh? ;)

The Talented Mr Ripley is my favourite movie of all time. Yes, even over all those wonderful old classics I love as well. It's just so rich and beautifully acted. And I am very much in love with Peter. I love every character, but Peter has my heart.

And Vincent is such a beautiful and sad song.
Mark: guy Mattboywondermark on November 20th, 2005 03:00 am (UTC)
OMG! I'm so glad to hear of someone that loves The Talented Mr Ripley! I enjoy it so much...and I had my friend, Carole, watch it and she didn't like it...LOL...I told her she was crazy!

The visuals in 'Vincent' are so vivid!
