Happy Birthday Dad!
Today was my dad's birthday. He passed many years ago. LOL...he was from West Virginia and called himself the "Old Man from the Mountains"...so, Happy Birthday, Old Man! We miss you!

Nice tribute.

My father also passed away 11 years ago this month. Does seem like a long time ago sometimes.

Thanks, Glenn! Y'know, he really was...not in some huge grandstanding way...he had his faults, but he was a good man.

*big hug*

Ummmm, I didn't know you had a father. Hey I had one too. He had
his faults also (don't ask) and died
suddenly when I was 16 right after we had a huge quarrel. You can only
imagine the consequences of that.
Fortunately I had read what somebody
had said, that the best revenge on a
dystunctional father is to be a better one, and that's exactly what I
did.

Surprise! Surprise! I did indeed have a daddy!

I assisted the paramedics who worked on my father when he died, Ed, and I feel blessed that I carry no hard feelings toward him or need for revenge of any kind.
