That's pretty much our forecast, except that we got a major thunderstorm last night, and thunderstorms are still predicted for this afternoon. You wouldn't know it to look outside at the moment -- sunny and hot!
Markboywondermark on August 2nd, 2006 07:27 pm (UTC)
That's so crazy! If it's that hot up there in Montreal, where do we go to escape?! I'm seriously thinking that I need to take a crash course in Norwegian!

Unfortunately, Maryland tends to be hot and humid from July through early October!

Sounds like it, eh? You guys don't have the himidity though, right?!
The humidity is what I hate most of all...it's like a steamroom here!

*swelter*

I just try to remind myself that the winter will be miserably cold. So it all balances out. ^_^

Or something. >_<

I don't mind the cold at all! COME ON AUTUMN!!
lomelinde_sama on August 2nd, 2006 03:59 pm (UTC)
I've been having that for a month straight. Except, without the 'chance of rain' parts. Those just started a few days ago, when the temperature suddenly decided to drop down thirty degrees.

By the way, wasn't it you who posted awesome color pics by Ichiko Ima a while back ? The birds in kimono and all, all in pastel tones, so beautiful ? I found the manga ont he shelves of a boostore while browsing for a book on touaregs, and I bought the first two volumes on sight when I saw th illustrations !

YES!!! INCREDIBLE ARTWOTK! Did you enjoy the books, D?!

(Tuaregs...very interesting!!!)

What did people do before air-conditioners?

(You know...I never had an Air-conditioner the whole time I was growing up!)
Araytheaaraythea on August 2nd, 2006 05:57 pm (UTC)
UGH. It's like that here too. It's horrid. I was hopeful when we got rain the other day but it just made it even worse with all the humidity. :(

I'm SO ready for late Autumn!!

I was reading your entry like that computer generated voice man thingie from the weather channel. All we're missing is the elevator smooth jazz music from the weather channel and an ad for HEAD ON: APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD!.

It's hot here, but not that hot yet. Although, it's just too hot for summer. I usually hate 80 degrees and now I'm starting to appreciate it. ^_^
Markboywondermark on August 2nd, 2006 11:10 pm (UTC)
I know exactly what you mean,Deb! I like it in the upper 60s-low 70s!!
TeknoDaveteknodave on August 2nd, 2006 11:21 pm (UTC)
Damn, that sucks. We had upper 90s in Seattle, with the triple digits on the Eastside/Foothills where I live, which was not fun. In a region where it hardly gets above 80, not many people here have A/C.

Come to Seattle! Right now, it is 4:20pm and 75 degrees.
Mark: Supernatural photographerboywondermark on August 2nd, 2006 11:56 pm (UTC)
I love Seattle! :)
