From my Graveyard drive yesterday...
I had these put on a CD and they came out a bit light, but you can get a little idea of what I saw. I was trying to catch a few of the trees that have changed (they just started here) and a few of the graves! I only had a half a roll of film in my camera...wish I had had more...there was a wooded area full of crypts and so many more cool statues. Anyhoo, here are a few...

Beautiful.

I love the statue in this last pic. Gorgeous.

The trees look fabulous. It's almost enough to make me miss autumn. Then I remember that winter follows all those pretty trees and no, thanks. *grins*

Thanks Chris...I love that last one as well...it looked so fantastic as the sun began to sink in the sky!

Mm. Damn nice cemetery (esp. during Autumn, it seems). Thank you for showing the photos.

I barely began in that cemetery...it's huge!

Glad you liked em!

Wow! They are all so beautiful! I love the huge angel statues and the one of the lady reading a book. How ornate and gorgeous! The trees just add to the beauty.

~smooches~ I love you! Thank you for sharing the pics!

I love statues...especially ones in dramatic poses or ones that set a certain mood! I'd love to sculpt you!

Beautiful trees. Cemeteries can be interesting places.

Those are great photos! I have noticed the leaves are starting to turn here also. Seems to happen later and later each year! Just doesn't feel like autumn without it.
Mark: Angelboyboywondermark on November 6th, 2005 03:55 am (UTC)
Yeah...and the sad thing is...the leaves are gone in no time and we have bare trees! :(

Re: lovely
I need to go back with more film! You could spend a day...or a night, for you nocturnal types!

~kiss back~

I wish we had cemetaries like that here.

I would think that France would have tons of ancient cemeteries!

i particularly like the one with all the spirey monuments - looks like a strange little city...
beautiful...
Mark: Treasure Planetboywondermark on November 6th, 2005 05:11 pm (UTC)
The pic doesn't do it justice! You drive from one part of the cemetery, through a wooded valley (with crypts along the way)...and then when you come out of the woods, there's this large hill sprinkled with a variety of tombs and monumets!

Glad you liked em, Gabe!
Su: rikuoralphiere on November 6th, 2005 01:47 pm (UTC)
The colors came out so vibrant, you stalked and captured the trees brilliantly!! And the cemetary is beautiful too! If it wasn't raining I'd take the kids out to Swan Point to walk around.

Thank you so much for sharing these, it makes me so happy to get a visual!
Mark: chihuly glassboywondermark on November 6th, 2005 05:21 pm (UTC)
Thanks, Su! I wasn't out for long because it was after work! I'd like to go out when I really have some time!

Cool cemetary!!! I love the statues, and the awesome trees, and the Einenbrot mausoleum.

My favorite pic is the last one: the green lady reading the phonebook.

lol

LOL! Maybe she's bored, Glenn...eternity is a LONG time! *grin*

Mostly German, French, Irish and English names there...with a smattering of others.
